He placed his hand at her lower back and guided her outside. Talking to the staff members for a moment, he then turned back to Monet. "My driver will be here in a minute."

"thank you", and god she really was thankful. Following him quietly to get their coats and then wait outside

They didn't talk till they were in the car and even then, they were quiet till they arrived at the Reed mansion. "I will bring you to my room and go talk to my parents to figure out your sleeping situation", he said once they got out of the car. "Is that alright with you?"

she took a deep breath and let her eyes wander over the huge building for a moment bevor she looked over to Jasper. "Sure. But be assured i will not share a bed with you... ", and she bite her lips

A sigh left her lips. "Fidn't I already assure you of that back at the event?" Not wanting to stand in the cold for longer, he started to lead the way. "I will give you a proper tour tomorrow", he said while walking through the mansion. "Or one lf our staff members, if you prefer that." He moved up the stairs to the third floor. "Only my room is up here, so you don't have to worry about anybody else for now." He stopped in front of one of the doors and opened it. "This is the.... welcoming area or whatever you want to call it. To the left is my bedroom and the bathroom. To the right is the wardrobe. If you want some fresh air, there is a big balcony which you can reach through the bedroom", he explained. "I will leave you alone to... grasp the situation and talk to my parents."

She just followed him, listening to his words and being quiet. Just when he finished did she really look at him. "How", and she had to take a breath to make her voice sound a bit louder. "How the he'll can you be so blunt about this?" She really didn't get it. Sure, they could not have shown their real feelings back at the party without being outlasted. But now..? There were no strangers eyes on them and he seemed rather ... aware and okay with this. "We hate each other", that was nothing as a secret. "You have never been nice. You are, excuse my language, but a dick who is full of himself to a bursting point"

A deep sigh left his lips. "Back to name calling again?" He rose an eyebrow. "I'm very aware of the fact that we don't like each other, but thank you for reminding me of it." He rolled his eyes at that. "But as you probably figured out, we can't really do anything about it. At least not tonight. There is nothing to gain if we loose our minds now and throw a fit. Yes, this situation is a shit show and yes, I hate it as much as you do, but would it get better if I threw bad names at your head and screamed at my parents? Hell no. So I'm trying to keep it together till our feelings have calmed down and we are actually able to talk to our parents rationaly." It was the only logical thing to do! "And just because I hate you, doesn't mean that I want you to be uncomfortable here. I know that you are just as much a victim of this as I am so there is no reason to let you sleep on the floor."

she toopk a deep breath and let her eyes wander over him, softly biting onto her lower lip. @Good luck, but ..let me tell you, there is not rational talking to my parents or talkign at all", she paused for a moment and lowered her gaze. "You just oblige to them", and she already opened the doors in front of her to walk into the room

His mouth had already opened to say something, but her actions were a clear dismissal. A tiny sigh left his lips, but he turned around on his heels and walked back downstairs. It probably was best if they got some time away from each other. Plus he had to make sure that Monet would actually get her own room. He would loose his damn mind if they had to share!

this was a nightmare and it could not be named any worse. She realized prertty soon that she might ahve not acted favourable towards Jasper and she kinda felt bad for it...but was it so misunderstanding? This had just been dumped on them and they had never even liked each other! once in the room she just let herself sink onto the large sofa and clsoed her eyes...taking deep breaths

He was gone for quite a while. Not just because the talk with his parents had taken some time, but because he also wanted to give Monet some air to breath. And maybe because he needed some alone time as well. So once he actually returned to his room, it was already past midnight. Reaching out for the door handle, he stopped himself and knocked at the last second. After all, he had no clue what state Monet was in at the moment. It felt ridiculous to knock on his own door, but well, they all had had a difficult evening.

she had doozed off, but not into a deep sleep and for a second she looked around rather confused when she opened her eyes .. until reality hit her hard once more. With a soft sight she sat up and looked over to the Door. "You don't have to knock, althought i appreciate it, but...this is your room"

He slowly stepped into the room and closed the door behind himself. "Well, this is your home too now so it's only decent to not just storm inside." He sat down in one of the armchairs across from the couch where she was. "I managed to talk at least some sense into my parents. You will get your own room for not. I only managed to make them agree until the end of your studies, but it's at least something", he started to explain. "I told our staff to prepare the bed in the rooms next to mine. As I told you before, nobody else sleeps up here and thus you get some privacy here unlike downstairs. But your free to pick another room if you would prefer that." He wouldn't tell her where to sleep. "One of the staff members already got assigned to you. Her name is Helena, but she isn't here right now. I will introduce you to her tomorrow. If you need anything, just tell her and she will get it for you."

she softly sat up and looked over to him. Not even interrupting him once and just sighting to his words once he had ended/ Letting herself sink back into the cushions. "i can't get over the fact how ... easy you take this. I mean.. you dont like me, i don't like you", she sighted again. "no offence", and her glance wnadered over to him. "Thanks", not that she would have ever thought she would thank him...for anything.

"I'm not taking it easy." He really wasn't. "This is years of privat lessons drilled into me. As one of the Abercromby children, I'm sure you had... similar lessons, didn't you?" He couldn't imagine that she hadn't had etiquette lessons. "I'm good at keeping myself pulled together till... well, no one's there to see it." After all, it wouldn't look good to make a scene in front of others. "I will make sure that you get as much freedom as possible here. I know you want this as little as I do so there is no point in being mad at you. We're both stuck in this situation, so we should at least try to... well, make the best out of it."
